\nmeasured from the back of the frame\u00a0– figure 3 below.<\/p>\n

To enable the removal of the glazing, backing and\u00a0mount if applicable,
\n1-6mm is added on to the size of the picture frame, this is the frame tolerance.<\/p>\n

If a picture frame is\u00a0100 x 100mm for example
\nthe inside size of the frame\u00a0will be\u00a0101 – 106mm – figure 3 below.<\/p>\n

As a picture frame has a rebate, when\u00a0the item is fitted inside\u00a0the frame the total viewing area\u00a0at the front of the frame will be approximately 10mm smaller than the picture frame size<\/p>\n

The edges of the item inside the frame will be covered by the width of the picture frame rebate.<\/p>\n

Canvas floating frames – Sizing<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The size of a Canvas Floating frame is the\u00a0‘OPENING’ size of the frame, as
\nmeasured from the front of the frame\u00a0– figure 2 below.<\/p>\n

To account for folded corners and movement,
\n10-16mm is added on to the size of the canvas, this is the frame tolerance<\/p>\n

If the Canvas is 100 x 100mm for example
\nthe\u00a0opening size of the frame will be 110\u00a0– 116mm – figure 2 below.<\/p>\n
