What to Frame Using a Box Frame: Special & Unusual Items

What to Frame Using a Box Frame: Special & Unusual Items

We all have those little things that we enjoy, the objects which are sentimental to us, and those things that we love to collect, but how often do they get stuffed in a box and stored in the attic, because they’re too fragmented to display?

Using a box or custom frame, using our frame designer, you can display those items throughout the home, maintaining your home’s décor, matching to the style of your home whilst keeping them all neatly together.

Medals

Medals can make an excellent feature of any room, they each have their own story, whether they are your own medals from competitions, sports, events, or military, or are a relative’s, they make a great talking point. When hosting it’s an easy ‘in’ to a conversation, and can give your guests a lot more insight into you and your personality.

Memorabilia

Whatever your interests are, from football, baseball, basketball, or music, if you’re an avid fan of something, no doubt you’ve got tons of memorabilia knocking about the house. Why stuff it up the loft when you could frame some of the nicest pieces in a beautiful frame? There are so many different ways to display.

One of our favourites is the use of a downstairs toilet to display arts, collectables and crafts all over the walls. This way, if you’re sharing a house, you still get to display what matters to you, but away from the main traffic of the house.

Collectables

It doesn’t matter what kind of items you collect, frames are the perfect way to display and store (to retain its value) your collectables, from tapestries to militaria all the way to stamps, coins and trading cards.

Toys and Figurines

Fitting perfectly with this month’s photo competition theme, toys and figurines look incredible in a box frame. They help to save the collectable toy from damage, dust, dirt, and little hands from picking them up, whilst also still displaying the beauty of it.

Art

Sometimes if a piece of art is thicker and wider than the average print or painting; a box frame will hold it slightly better. It will also ensure that the quality of the print is retained in the frame, as the last thing you want to do is damage a piece of art in its frame.

Our box frames are designed and built, as standard, to be a 30mm box. If you have an alternative size or awkward item that you want to box frame, get in touch with our sales team who will be more than happy to assist with your requirements.
