Art and Photography Exhibitions August 2014

Here at Picture Frames Express we work with a number of exhibitions, museums and galleries to provide a great show by supplying quality picture frames. Art in the Park

2nd & 3rd August Jephsons Gardens Leamington Spa.

There will be more than 30 artists exhibiting and selling their work at the Jephsons Gardens for this event. Including live sculpting demonstrations, craft stalls and a childrens art competition, the Art in the Park promises to be an unmissable event for local art enthusiasts, hobbyists and families alike.

Grain Photography Hub

Throughout August, The Library of Birmingham

The Grain Photography Hub has a wide variety of exhibitions happening this August.

  • 1st August- 31st August  Ikon’s;’As exciting as we can make it’ exhibition- a look back at the venue’s artists, photography and sculptures shown throughout the 1980’s.

  • 1st August – 17th August Daniel Meadows:  Early Photographic Works- A look back at the work of urban British society photographer Daniel Meadows  between the 1970’s and 80’s.

  • 1st August – 31st August Our City@The Photographers’ Wall – The Some Cities project brings together a collection of photographs which chronicles life within the city of Birmingham as it looks to become one of the centres of photography in the UK.

Mechanical Art and Design Museum

19th July – 8th September 2014, Stratford upon Avon

Rather than go along to simply have a look around, get featured in the Mechanical Art and Design Museum Gallery this August with the Summer Photography Competition. All you need to do to enter is capture a photo around the museum in any part of the exhibition; whether of the people there or parts of an exhibit. The winner and runners up of the competition will have pride of place in the museum gallery and be promoted on social. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a day out aswell as make a name for yourself.

The Countess of Warwick Country Show

24th August-25th August 2014

Happening in the heart of Essex over the August Bank Holiday, The Countess of Warwick’s Show is a showcase of Horticulture, Art, Equestrian Events and family fun. The Art show which happens in Little Easton Church will exhibit a selection of photography, hand-painted works, sculptures, etchings and much more.

Summer Exhibition 2014

Travel Photographer of The Year

11th July – 17th August The Royal Geographical Society in London

The Travel Photographer of The Year Exhibition  showcases the winning work from the 2013 Travel photographer competition. From professionals to semi-professionals and adults to under 14’s you can see all the photography portfolio’s of all the winners and runners up from last years competition.

2020 Vision Photography Street Gallery

5th August- 29th August, Grange-over-sands (venue to be revealed)

2020 Vision Photography outdoor exhibition showcases a project involving some of the most talented nature and wildlife photographers in the UK. The project seeks to show off UK nature and wildlife in a more accessible and engaging way to appeal to a wider audience. The hope of 2020Vision overall is to convey the importance of restoring and protecting our ecosystems.
